Welcome to Phil and Val's place on the Web.

OK, so I finally got around to updating.
The Psight Site is proud to present ROWAN'S PAGE. Rowan is
a little miracle that came into the world in the form of our son, Rowan Arthur. He
joined us May 22, 2000 at 9:23am. Val and I wish to thank everyone who prayed for this
miracle to happen.
Today is my 40th birthday. Having arrived at two big milestones in my life in the last three weeks, I am given to pause and examine my life, and I have to say that things are definitely looking up.
I lucked out last year on a layoff and got a great severance package. I think the universe did that in order to allow me to take the last 2 1/2 weeks off, in order to help out with the baby. I took unpaid leave, but I won't miss the one paycheck it will cost me to have done so.
I have been quite busy for the last few months, which is why it's taken me two and a half weeks since Rowan's much anticipated birth to get around to updating. I haven't gotten everything done that I had intended, but I think that will always be the case, at least for the next twenty odd years or so.
I did got a lot done though. We got a new air conditioner, which was vital since it's going to be a hot one this summer. I built a new platform for the new air mattress we bought. We found out waterbeds and pregnant people don't mix well. I replaced a drippy faucet with a brand new one, and we got a water filter so we can have really clean water for mommy, baby, and coffee.
Fatherhood seems to agree with me so far. Rowan is a really cool little dude, and he and I get along really well. Val and I are both probably getting a little spoiled by him, since he doesn't cry much. I think his younger siblings, when they come, will be a bit more of a handful. I suspect they might be twins, which would potentially quadruple the amount of effort required. That should be "interesting".
